Up here anyone that sits within 6 feet of a person that tests positive must stay home for 14 days. Even if asymptomatic; even if they test negative.
Are these rules similar around the state?

In Mississippi, one of our boys just had a confirmed positive case last week in a class; no changes made for anyone else in the class, although they did send an email to the parents to let us know.
They also only attend classes in person Mon-Tue and Thu-Fri. Wednesday is virtual learning across the board. That would be tough for families with younger kids.
