they win the game if Stingley plays

Jay Ward and Evans were not even scheduled to play, per O.

I agree, Sting makes at least a 7 point (if not more)difference imo

Im pretty sure 26 got benched in the second quarter. Felt bad for him. Only been here a couple weeks. It’s definitely a “perfect storm” element at play but we’ve got to figure out some alternatives against teams like uf and bama who can throw it at a high level

It’s at least a lot closer.

Not only would Stingley bring what Stingley brings but he does keep a few guys off the field.

Flott gets to play slot exclusively.

Evans probably doesn’t play at all.

LSU was what? A 17-point favorite?

If stigley plays, then we squeak out a win possibly, but we still would have seen the same issues. Instead of 600 yards we would have given up 450 or so with a lot of big plays.

Then would be in the classic les miles debate, where fans ignore structural issues during ugly wins that shouldn't be that ugly, claiming the win is all that matters when making adjustments to scheme and philosophy.

They shouldn’t be scheduled to play at any point this year from what I saw

They win the game if Pelini makes any kind of fricking adjustment. MSU ran nothing but man beaters with picks and rubs on nearly every play. Before we reached halftime it was very evident man coverage couldn't possibly succeed.

I don't care who was or wasn't playing - Pelini did not put them in the best position to succeed. Like he was Mike Martz, he refused to adapt to personnel on hand and tried to force them to adapt to his system, instead of adapting the system to the strengths of your players... or at the very least fricking protecting where they are most weak.

And if YOU, Lester Earl, could not tell before halftime that Leach was using plays specifically designed to break man coverage and that Bo Pelini never adjusted, then YOU don't know what the hell you are talking about... you don't know football.

Costello was damn near Brees/Burrow accurate... having played 3 seasons already, he was quick and decisive with where he wanted to go with the ball. LB's and DB's were getting picked nearly every other play, leaving guys across the middle on simple slant routes wide the frick open, repeatedly, in every quarter. Mississippi fricking State. I don't give a damn who plays, if Bo Pelini never makes an adjustment, you would have seen the same result.

Leach's route concepts are neither new, complex, multiple, nor revolutionary. There's a reason after all these year's he is coaching Mississippi State. Bo Pelini just proved there's an even greater reason he was coaching for Podunk U last year. He should really be coaching for Les Miles. The fact Ed didn't step in and force at least one fricking zone play makes him equally complicit.

Flott was getting embarrassed too though, and Ricks played decent but gave up some plays too.

With Stingley added this is the defense O was praising and throwing shade at Aranda over. That's my problem. He talked all that shite and it was not backed up in the slightest. Even if Stingley is good for 150 yards and two TD difference, you're still talking about close to 490 yards and 30 points given up by a defense that was supposedly "better than any point of time last year".
