The initial diagnosis on #Saints guard Andrus Peat is a high ankle injury, source said. He’ll have more tests today.

As @TomPelissero said, the early indication is a high ankle sprain for Saints guard Andrus Peat. We shall see if the Saints wind up placing him on injured reserve, which would require him to miss at least three weeks. Saints have a bye in Week 6.

IMO, that is probably way better than what I thought it would be. I imagined he broke his foot

Ruiz needs to get his feet wet against the weaker part of the schedule anyway. This is the perfect time to get him playing time. Put Peat on IR and you can bring Tom or Clapp (if they want him back) on the active roster next week until Hurst can play week 5. We will be fine, Easton has played pretty well so far. Peat is the weak link on the OL anyway.

Somebody told me they thought the peat injury was serious since he got carted off. I told them it was probably a sprain peat is just a pussy. Needless to say I’m not surprised at all. If he actually broke something they would have to put him on a stretcher.
