Love posts like this. They start to appear a day or two after the game after the anger subsides.

People recreate their own mental impression of what they saw. They allow their biases to warp the reality of the situation and refuse to accept what just took place.

The optimism builds throughout the week until the next game, when reality sets in again.

There's a difference between a fan & a fan who really understands the game. A fan will always remain optimistic & that optimism will always grow closer to the next kickoff even after an embarrassing loss.

The fan who understands the game, has seen & studied aspects of the game, will be alarmed when they see flaws in a player, scheme or coaching especially when those flaws are the type that usually have a tendency to remain all season long.

Brennan's flaws are something we will see game after game. They will hinder the offense all season long. He will take bad sacks or turn the ball over in really bad spots in games. Our offense will sputter because of his struggles to read defenses pre & post snap.

State is nowhere near the best defensive team on the schedule & Brennan will look even worse against those defenses after taking a couple of hits. It's amazing to me that some people can't see this or refuse to see this.
