Can't disagree with this, BUT- Myles Brennan was a Les Miles recruit, there is hope that O breaks the trend of bad QB recruiting from the get go.

Still have to develop the talent, but Brennan may not have it at all.

Another example- See Franks- was supposed to be yet another savior from Les and even Mullen could not tame him.

There is hope for the future, but this year is toast.

wait - so now he is a Miles recruit. Ok. You people crack me up. Les was out O kept him. He played a good bit backing up Danny E in 2017... so I don’t have time to piss with him beyond the next 2 games if he doesn’t tremendously improve and show I’m he can throw receivers open by throwing to spots and display better pocket awareness. Otherwise, run read options with whomever is better.. simple.

Myles Brennen
Lowell Narcisse
Peter Parish
TJ Finley
Max Johnson

In four years those are O’s QB recruits out of high school.

I don’t know if Miles-esque is a thing, but that seems pretty Miles-esque.

Not signing a QB on NSD in 2018 has to be one of the more egregious errors that could have happened under O’s watch.

He obviously lucked out with the GOAT QB falling into his lap from Meyer’s QB tree later that offseason, but not having another prospect be prepped to step up wasted such a golden opportunity that Burrow gave him. The luxury of time to prevent QBs from being forced into action before they were ready like they were so often were under Miles.

If Brennen isn’t ready, and perhaps even worse that the coaches couldn’t SEE that he wasn’t, now TJ or Max get Lee’d and Harris’d their freshman year and we are right back where we were with Miles and where we would have been without Burrow.

It really is such a deflating thought after the luxury that a Meyer grad transfer gave us to fix the QB pipeline that was broken for so long.

Nice try. Brennan has been here since 2017. There was plenty of time for them to move off of him and find another QB.
