They just put out a barrel proof bourbon... I really want to give it a try. I'd just go and sample and then buy what you like. Sampling enough liquor/wine/cider to get drunk is one of the best things to do in that area.
D&S Distilling is also solid, but I don't know that they are open currently.
Smoky Mountain Brewery is good, but not spectacular... a lot of standard styles but they brew them very well. They have some of the better food in the area as well. Gatlinburg Brewing is probably going to have some better beer, plus they make a really good pizza. Yee Haw is 3rd place for breweries over there.
