In an era where everything from academia to the NFL is political, am I to believe something as overtly political as polls isn’t tainted with partisan bias?!?!?
Polling is a business. A lot of people think pollsters only pop up every 4 years to measure presidential elections.
Most polling business is actually conducted for other businesses, non profits, and so on. For example some environmentalist organization pays a polling firm to conduct a poll showing that most people support the environmental restriction they are pushing for. Pollster conducts poll, generates the pre-determined result that the environmentalist poll wants, and sells it to them.
What the customer is paying for is NOT a poll conducted in an unbiased manner. They are paying for the right to use a poll conducted by the polling outlet and the polling outlet's name to make it appear that the poll they are citing for their movement is credible.
They are literally paying for credibility.
That's how polling works, even political polling. The cucks at FOX News like Paul Ryan want a poll showing Biden way ahead? They pay Shaw & Associates to conduct the poll showing just that. They are paying for the right to use Shaw & Associate's name with the poll so they can claim the poll was done unbiasedly and is credible.

I always wanted to create a junk science firm that would do that for consumer products
