What I have been told, guy is a business man in LC so he should have some deep pockets when they fall on fence and possibly boat. Keeping boat far enough from them for now but can’t move house.

Make sure you have documentation about your concerns being voiced to the owner, as well as having someone deem the trees unsafe. If you don't have any documentation of the trees being unsafe and a hazard, then them falling will just being considered an act of God.
