I mean, there are former coaches arguing today that MM made the wrong call. I just don’t understand how that happens. How can you be so wrong about something so obvious and relevant to your specialty?

The biggest reason you go for 2 on the 1st TD is because it gives you the most options.

The ability to go for the WIN or the tie on the 2nd TD. The only way you get that option is going for 2 on the 1st TD and converting. There are times where you might want to have a shot at the win.

Also I have always been a fan of them adding a way for you to get a 3 point PAT. Same as a 2 pt try but the ball is placed at the 15 yd line and you get one shot to get in the end zone. Could make the game a little more exciting and fun. Give a team with an impossible uphill climb a chance.
