Pavers/stone for a patio floor

Recc.s' on what type of stone or pavers to utilize for outdoor patio...i.e. type/cost/where purchased. Trying to stay under $500 for a 14 x 14 area

It’s been awhile since I was doing that, but I always liked flagstone better for patios vs pavers for driveways & sidewalks. You get more character with flagstone - just don’t use concrete for the joints

Will be using concrete brick pavers. Looks like these.

Be sure to have whatever your choice be fixed in place.
Had a co-worker trip on one and break his hip and crack 2 vertebrae in L-Spine one 4th of July.
His were the interlocking pavers NOT cemented down that a tree root pushed a couple up just an inch or 2. Pushed up enough to catch the side of his shoe as he pivoted from the grill so that he landed on his side.
It was right then I decided to always be a slab person and never a paver/stone.
