Here's a crazy idea! Maybe, just maybe, we stop making everything about race and get back to the teachings of the civil rights movement. You know, the color blind society where people are judged for who they are, not what they are... The philosophy that brought us from Jim Crow to a black POTUS in less than 50 years.

I’ll never understand truly why that became such a hated philosophy. The intent wasn’t that being ‘color blind’ was to take away from being who you are, iow sure, go ahead and embrace your heritage.

It was to say I’m not better than you because we are different, I will not be an idiot and judge you based on your color.

En Vogue used to sing about it back in my day, I’ve always felt that way and will continue to do so. No one can make me think that is wrong.
