He made the actors watch the movie on set between takes. He wasn't trying to hide anything.

yet here we are in 2020 discussing this because 99.99999% of people who saw this movie think he's a fricking creative genius and would never know about this.

he's a genius at sitting in his $30 million movie room in his basement watching obscure foreign films 24/7 to rip off.

It’s weird to me this thread was even started. He talked about all the stuff he pulled from in the behind the scenes stuff back when the movie came out.

I could go pull that dvd out of the closet and pull up the parts of him casting sonny Chiba and naming his character hattori hanzo because he used to watch a show called kage no gundan. Also talks about lady snowblood, the Kung fu flicks, even that he pulled the siren that plays in Beatrix’ head from a show called ironside
