LA DMV Hacked, Nov 2019

So two days after a LA Governor election and one year before a POTUS election, LA DMV is hacked and LA drivers license data is exposed.

Two days after the ransomware attack the State CTO’s house catches fire
Unintentional

ransomware attack Causing long lines and delays at State Agencies

In April 2019 the CA DMV system was hacked as well
Story on CA DMV

Seems kind of weird, I remember it being discussed but it went away pretty quickly

Feels like par for the course for state DMVs.

I thought the same thing when it happened. At the time, a ton of businesses were getting hit with the ransomeware. It was a serious problem for several weeks.

I am confident this has nothing to do with the current push for mail in voting

I forgot about this. I remember when it happened thinking how strange it was.

Could it be tied to getting a dem elected (Gov in LA?) Congressional dem seats in Cally?

The dems want the voter rolls of the motor voter registered to vote?

Does the timing coincide?

Remember when it came out Fla. was hacked and the details went silent as well?

I just googled LA dmv hack
Then dmv computer hacks and CA came up

I am sure there are more

Very strange, “hacks” are code word for breech, but can be used as cover for a mass download of data

2018_Atlanta_cyberattack

What is strange is in the search the attack was denied; but the wikipedia write-up says people were arrested so it wasn't fake news.

All the reporters are still in line at the DMV waiting to find out what happened.

All of the dmv hacks say randomware and no data was acquired but I find that hard to believe

Can be used for all kinds of cover actually.

In 2016 the Obama FBI/DHS sent a list of URL's to the Louisiana Secretary of State telling them to see if they had been seen in their logs as having come to the SoS websites or networks. The list consisted of Russian, French, Israeli servers that were used often for script kiddie attacks on practically every website on the internet.

The company running security for the LASOS networks did a search and found that yes, one of those had pinged the SOS website. But what FBI/DHS didn't realize is how in depth LASOS's ability to track all this stuff was. And as a result a paper was written explaining exactly what that russian URL did. It was about as ominous as what you did clicking on this post. Your URL is now logged here. And if you had a VPN you could have done that from one of these URLs that FBI/DHS was claiming were proof of muh russian hackers hacking the election. News flash. Russian hackers are infinitely smarter than that and would never give you that kind of trail to follow.

The people involved in securing the LASOS networks had better security abilities than the FBI/DHS and thus knew that this thing was a setup. And the only reason for anyone to ask for a search for those URL's was so that later they could say that that someone had 'probed' or attempted to 'hack' the election networks. And sure enough, after Trump was elected and the coup was running full blast, someone told the press that 20 some odd states had been attacked by muh russians attempting to hack the election. Remember, this was at a time that everyone involved was either under a security clearance or an NDA. It took a couple years for those to come off.

But before that, and about a month prior to the election, DHS/FBI showed up at a meeting with LASOS and the topic was election network security. Something LASOS was better equipped to handle than FBI/DHS. But they showed up with about 20 people and said they were taking it over on that day.

SOS said no. You aren't.

There was nothing they could do. See what they were looking for was to take over all fifty states election networks, you know... for safety. When that would actually be the most unsafe thing that could possibly be done because it makes it where you now can actually effect the election at one point. Something every hacker on the planet would go after, or those in charge of defending it could do whatever they liked with.

This stuff is over the head of probably 85% of the population though. So this narrative has survived to this day. And it's going to get worse.
