If any of you have a Chase card with Chase Ultimate Rewards points, here's how to get a PS5 disc version from Amazon for $333 before tax or a discless version for $266 before tax (assuming you have a Sapphire Reserve)

So, normally with the Sapphire Preferred (CSP) and Sapphire Reserve (CSR), you have to redeem points through Chase’s travel portal if you want to maximize value. They’re worth 25% more with CSP and 50% more with CSR. On everything else (amazon, apple, statement credit, etc), they’re usually just worth the standard 1 cent. Sometimes you can get lucky and get 2+ cents by transferring to travel partners, but this isn't guaranteed.
Chase added a feature in June called "Pay Yourself Back," where you can make a purchase in an eligible category (right now it’s grocery stores, home improvement stores, and restaurants), then have the ability to reimburse yourself with your points if you like. The kicker is that you get the same extra value that you would get from Chase travel redemption (1.25x and 1.5x). So as a CSR holder, if you spend $100 at the grocery store and pay yourself back, instead of losing 10,000pts, you only use 6,667, or $67 worth.
How does this help us? Whole Foods sells Amazon gift cards. Say I want a new $1000 gizmo. I just need to go buy (2) $500 Amazon gift cards at Whole Foods, pay myself back with points, and because of the extra point value, I’m only getting deducted 33,333 points for each gift card instead of 50,000. $1000 purchase becomes a $666 purchase. Groovy
I know some of yall mfs have hundreds of thousands of points banked away, this is a good way to get the same point value without having to travel in these crazy times. I have 200k I'm sitting on and don't plan on traveling any time soon, so I may as well use some for this

Curious how quickly people think these PS5s will sell out. You guys think within 10min, a few hours, a day, longer?
