I outfitted my house with GE Z-Wave smart switches and bulbs in 2017, I installed 8 switches in the house and 4 light bulbs and 2 outlet controllers. One by one they are starting to die. First was the light bulb in my night stand a few months ago. Another bulb died soon after. Next was a switch in my son's bathroom, I thought it might be due to humidity in the bathroom. Next was the switch in the kitchen. Yesterday the one controlling the outside front porch light died. Pretty disappointing and I'm wondering how long the rest will last. 2 year warranty and they die just short of 3.

So far I've just replaced them with dumb switches. The front port light one is one of the most important cause we love the automation to have it turn on and off at dawn/dusk. Would like to have then back as smart switches but not sure I want to be buying a $40 light switch every 3 years. I'm torn if I want to replace the others with dumb switches as they fail or keep buying $40 switchs.

Zooz switches are my go to z wave switch. Usually on sale for less than $30. Much better quality than the 1st gen GE (which are rebranded jasco).

You having any power fluctuations? Only time one of mine died was after a power outage flashing issue.
