Anyone else get traumatized by these books as a kid?
Hell House - Richard Matheson (Steven King called it the scariest book written)
Heart Shaped Box - Joe Hill (premise sounds a little hokey, but it's great)
Ghost Story - Peter Straub (not as scary as it is just a good book)

Thanks, all. I’m about halfway through Dracula and will take all others into consideration. Also picked up “Ghost Stories of Henry James,” for more classy British scares.
