Hi there, I finally found a Nintendo Switch at Target. I plan on giving it to my kids this Christmas. I do own a Wii U and a PS4, but I am very unfamiliar with the Switch. What accessories are a must have? Case, docking station, controllers, memory card, etc?
Also, I could use advice on good games for a 9 year old and 6 year old. Both are boys and love Super Smash Bros.
Thanks!

Extra controllers, screen protector and memory card were what I have picked up for mine. Memory card is a big one as the internal storage is pretty weak.
Super Smash is a lot of fun, Mario Kart is another must have game and you might want to look into the NES Online as well for some fun retro games.

More left hand joy-cons if they play Mario Party
2-Pro Controllers for Kart, etc
SD Card for games, 128 should be fine.

screen protector and memory card
These are the first two things I purchased. I went with this screen protector: LINK
ETA: Be careful buying memory cards on Amazon as there are a lot of counterfeits commingled with their stock (just like when buying controllers on Amazon).

Covert Dock is a legit docking station option.

If they’re ever going to travel with it (like put it in a bag), I advise getting a hard case that can zip up with it inside. I broke one of my original joycons because I had set it inside of a laptop pocket in a backpack on a plane, and the control stick got pushed and the end snapped off.
