Earlier episode, I agree, the Stormfront/Homelander rally had shades of MAGA sprinkled on it.
And Neuman was DEFINITELY AOC with the activist-congresswoman thing going on.
It did get a little uncomfortably blatant at times.

But, that's pivoted bigtime. The Nazi=MAGA thing has dissipated, Homelander is looking good (on TV) and has shown a bit of soul the past couple episodes. He's pyscho, but I feel a bit bad for the dude. He just wanted to watch Davy Crockett, now he just wants to frick and get loved and have a kid. Once he blew a few Super nuts off, he was mellowing out. He was HAPPY. Hell, he even gave Butcher a last chance to walk away and leave him the kid, and with Becca gone technically he has better claim.

As for AOC Lite, instead of the activist hero she's the hidden supervillain, and most likely the pawn of a mega corporation, the swamp in the background running things. That's some cynical shite, and if you're Left leaning it's probably a bit insulting to you, just saying.
