however, being able to connect with voters in Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin, which he took in 2016 (surprising to many), by making commercials saying "I took control of the situation and got your teams playing again" is a pretty big deal

If anything, this gives Warren a way to bring back football without looking even more clueless and lost than he already did. Essentially he can say "we've been promised additional resources and support which we did not have access to during prior considerations on playing this season".

I was just listening to "The Fan" in Columbus today...and maaaaan...let me tell you!! The fear in hosts Beau Bishop and James Lauranitis's voices discussing the President's tweet was absolutely real and evident. They want NO part of Trump getting credit for this. This is was Columbus, Ohio people. Just goes to show who these people really are. This just became a huge deal in the Midwest. Watch how many people in sports journalism are suddenly against playing.
