Hoka’s are pretty legit. They don’t make 4E width so I can’t get them, but people I know that have them love them. Don’t know anyone with Cloud’s but according to running sites they are supposed to be good quality.
I mainly stick with Brooks or ASICS for running, and New Balance for work.

Does the foot width transfer to girth the same way the lengths match up?

New Balance is the best at having wide options.
if i'm worried about cushion for being on my feet all day, hoka, OC, or New Balance.
If i want a nice running shoe, the above all make some with brooks or asics.
