No. It's whoever refuses to CAVE to public opinion is who will "win". In case you haven't notice, today's media lives to create division and operates in hyperbole. There will be no "good" PR for those who want to play in the fall. The media simply won't allow it. And it will ramp up even higher the closer we get to actual play.

Medical experts think it's not safe for whatever reason (heart stuff, students coming back on campus, whatever)

The definition of "safe" in this instance is nebulous and wholly subjective. If "safe" = no one getting coronavirus then not just football needs to be canceled, but ALL SOCIAL INTERACTION WHATSOEVER needs to be canceled to achieve that goal. The virus is not going to be eliminated...even if a vaccine is developed. Whether guys play football in the fall, spring, summer or in 2022, there are going to incidents of players contracting Covid. That is a virtual certainty. The ONLY way that doesn't happen is if we simply stop testing for it at this absurd rate. Can you imagine what yearly influenza cases would be if we tested at this rate? I suspect they would dwarf covid...and we have a yearly vaccine!!!!
