Aledo at number 1 is pretty accurate.

Although, how do you get a high school enrollment of 1300 in a town with a population of 4K?

South Panola at #9 for Mississippi. West Point currently is a better program than South Panola. SP has won the State 11 times with the last time being in 2014. West Point has also won the State 11 times and has won it the last 4 years.

man that is one shitty website. Each state loads up one at at a time. So you constantly have to scroll over and over and over to get to the bottom

Also funny story about Doug Evans. Me and my dad are HUGE Packers fans. He's from Wisconsin. Well one night I am out at Strangebrew of all places. Think it was Thursday fill up your cup for a buck. This was probably 4 years ago. And no one really notices the guy but I notice the massive Green Bay 1996 Super Bowl ring on his finger.

I was like 6 at the time in of the Super Bowl so no chance I am going to know who tf Doug Evans was on the Super Bowl team. But I talk to him and ask him who he is and get a pic. Then at like 2am I call my dad all excited and wake him up and was like guess who I just met?? He was like who. I was like Doug Evans! He was like uhhh. And had to think about it. And he was like you mean like the 3rd corner back in the 90s for the Packers? I was like yeah! Cool right. He goes "not really, but thanks for waking me up." But yeah former Super Bowl winner Doug Evans hangs out at Strangebrew in Shreveport sometimes I guess

Warren or Nashville should be the Arkansas reps. Edit: Damn I forgot about Greenwood.

I grew up 20 miles from Haynesville across the border. My school (much bigger) played them one time and one time only that I can remember.

It's basically known that they'll never be scheduled again because of how corrupt their referees were. It's not a secret. If you play them at their house, you won't win.

Score a TD, called back. Get an interception... Called off for PI. Etc., etc.

Haynesville has a good program, yes, but damn. They're rivalry with Spinghill/Webster Parish is very good, though. Its kind of like ghetto-white trash Friday Night Lights.

Also great to see Aledo as #1 on there. Considering they are becoming quite the pipeline to LSU. With Jojo Earle this year and Bryan Allen Jr next year

Homer-Haynesville used to be a war until Homer went into a deep decline. Homer is the parish seat and they think they're better than sawmill/oilfield trash Haynesville.

West Monroe has less than 12,000 people, so it is a small town. The school has 2300 students. Anyway it has always been voted among the best nationally from the USA Today to other articles over the 25 years or so.

Attendance zone is much larger than the city. Doesn't look like the high school is even in the city limits.

Because no one lives in the city limits. WM is around 13K in city limits. Monroe is 47K. Yet somehow there are 155K in Ouachita Parish. West Monroe is much bigger than traditional "Small Towns" like Haynesville, Oak Grove, Farmerville, etc.

Lincoln County for Georgia. That’s probably the best choice for them although I would have thought they would have been ranked higher.

That’s pretty impressive such a small town in the middle of nowhere has been able to pull off a successful racket for decades.

We never played them, but they were really rolling when I was in HS in the 90’s. Haynesville is about as far from NOLA as any town in Louisiana. I assumed they would struggle in State Championship games in the Superdome since they didn’t have the refs in their back pocket. Turns out they were just really good.

1990 Haynesville 42, University 20
1991 Haynesville 28, Buras 21
1993 Haynesville 48, Riverside 17
1994 Haynesville 51, Loyola 3
1995 Haynesville 43, DeQuincy 0
1996 Haynesville 28, South Cameron 6
