Have you tried something like an ecobee thermostat? They have remote sensors you can place all over the house which tell it if there is a hot/humid spot.

Through 6 different houses we have always had trouble with our upstairs rooms even with a separate unit for that floor. I think insulation and sealing is probably important to look at too. It's never just one issue but a combination of things together.

I think this is my biggest issue. I’ve thought about adding thin layer of bubble insulation under carpet. Can’t really access other parts to even check for insulation. Maybe blow in insulation?
