The pole is 50m tall... the bottom of the cable is 10m above the ground... the cable then goes back up to the top of a 50m pole
The cable is 80m
50m-10m=40m
40m to the bottom and 40m to the top =80m
The poles are 0m apart and the picture is bullshite

God dammit I hate these problems
Most companies (like Google) don't even ask these in interviews anymore because they're meaningless ways of judging someone's coding ability
