'18-'19 academic year

The Big 12 paid out $38.8 million, and the schools retained 3rd tier rights

The Big 10 paid out $55 million, however that number will be going down. Two schools Rutgers & Maryland do not get a full share, yet.

The original issue with the Big 12 was Texas getting preferential treatment. That drove out Nebraska, Colorado, Texas A&M and Missouri.

Texas and the Big 12 NEED to get that situation under control, and come up with something that doesn't alienate the other members. If they do that, I could see Nebraska and Colorado, at least, returning to the group.
Colorado isn't particularly relevant, but regaining Nebraska would be a huge get. Forget current program status, it's about having a recognized name, and restoring classic rivalries.

Money- if the Big 12 can play this fall, I see them catching the Big 10 for TV revenues in the future. There will be an impact.
