In Columbia this weekend moving my kid into college. Went to the store today. Cool store. Stood in line for about 20 minutes. Smaller than expected. Lots of long guns and about half full in handguns. Very helpful staff. Almost bought a Italian Beretta trade in. They are banged up some but still a great price. Looked at a couple of other things but didn’t want to deal with the process of getting it back to Louisiana. May order one online later.

I buy a good bit from there. I have a .308 and I built and AR pistol mainly from them. I like the quality for the price. I went to the one in Greenville a few weeks ago when I was there for work. Pretty impressed by the inventory of guns. Ammo was not so much. No worse than anyone else.

I have several of their lowers. People crack me up when they look at one of my rifles and say “oh, it’s a PSA.” Then stick their nose in the air. First of all, it’s a lower and has nothing to do with the rest of the rifle. If the lower is in spec, it doesn’t matter who made them. There are only a handful of forging operations in the US. Everyone else just puts their name on those same forgings. Secondly. You know where PSA gets most of their AR parts? FN. Which is right down the road. The same people who hold the contract for the US military. Their parts are fine. Their assembly is suspect though. I have seen multiple guns come out of their place with substandard assembly.

I bought a 308 completed 18” upper and a stripped lower. I used their lower parts kit plus put a mbt trigger. I took the barrel off of the upper and reinstalled it just to make sure nothing was off. I consistently shoot to 500yards. No opportunity to shoot farther so far. The gun is more accurate than I am and built like a tank. This was 3 years ago when prices were good so I spent about 600 plus the trigger and some different parts to finish it off.
