JJ got worse under miles.

freshman year was his best arguably from an ability standpoint.

his soph year was easily his best and most consistent as a passer, and probably overall. 19 total TDs (17 passing) in 12 games. not great numbers, but I've often said if the 09 passing version of Jefferson shows up in 10 and/ or 11 we probably get another NC.

his 2010 regression as a passer was unlike anything I can remember. dude was just awful.

Miles was too confusing for QBs and ruined a lot of talent. He didn't have enough of an understanding of the role and didn't want a team overly dependent on that position. Unfortunately, as we saw January 2012, you can't win a game without points, and it's very hard to score points without offense.

I remember in the Arkansas game as a freshman he actually looked off a safety for a TD. Seemed like he had a ton of potential but things just went backwards.
