The Minnesotan nailed it. You get into the Twin City suburbs and then outstate it's Trump country. I was shocked to see all the Trump support in rural Minnesota that had always been Democrat Farm Labor party country.

Don’t forget that Trump came closer to winning Minnesota than any other Republican since the ‘84 Reagan landslide. The DFL isn’t what it used to be. Minnesota is projected to lose an electoral vote in the census to.
With no strong 3rd party candidates on the ballot this year, The Trump vote in rural Minnesota I expect to be higher. It had the highest voter turnout of any state in 2016. Any time Trump has had a rally there, the majority of attendees were Democrats and Independents. That gives me hope they’re open to hear the other side.
