That would make it really tight numbers wise, especially if we are hoping to land 4 OL and 5 DBs this cycle, depending on McKinstry. Although Fidone is an obvious take, I think he is longshot at best. The visit gives me hope, but even IF that happens (which seems like a big if at this point), I still think it will be hard to pull him away from the hometown Huskers.

I think you take whichever one is willing to commit first and feel good about it, especially if we honestly believe we are in the running for players like Foreman and Wheaton. I get we are shorthanded at TE, but I also don't see LSU lining up in dual TE sets much in the future.

Unless the NCAA opens up official visits, Fidone will be a Husker. He's planning to be enrolled and on campus somewhere this January. Time is working against the other schools he wants to visit.
