No sarcasm. I don’t like the idea of someone that isn’t a medical professional ushering my kid away to be monitored without my knowledge because they have a fever.

Well, I assume they will not be conducting any experiments on your child. Monitored most likely means supervised until the second temp check is taken.

Where do you think they are hauled off to?

It's just for a temp check.

I’m the teacher monitoring the kids before giving them a second temp check. I didn’t volunteer to do it by the way.

I am certified in CPR and First Aid. I think you have an inflated outlook on the level of medical care available at schools.

That's happened forever in schools. Nothing new here. Most schools these days don't have a full time nurse. If they are not feeling well, they are sent to the office for monitoring and if necessary, parent is called.
