I remember this case. It was much worse than releasing him. INS was waiting out in front of the courtroom because she had ordered them to stay out of her court. Her, the defense attorney and the security officer, slipped the defendant out the back door through her chambers just to keep him from being arrested. It was a deliberate criminal act.

She is a big liberal and this was back when Trump was pushing for deportations so she did it to middle finger Trump thinking she was untouchable. Her Judicial Immunity argument is crazy. If you buy her argument, then she could stand up in the middle of a trial and shoot the defendant in the head and not be prosecuted. That ain’t the way it works.

Happens in Harris county every day. Except no sneaking involved. They go right out the front door.
