Tomatoes don’t belong in cajun jambalaya, and creole jambalaya is an abomination.
As for rotel, my mom used to put a little in her gumbo and it tasted great, and you’d never know there was any tomato unless you saw her add it. She is a heathen from the Frozen Tundra of Shreveport, though.
