Riots a Glimpse at the fragility of “Civilization”

I have long contended that we all live under an illusion of civilization.
The fact is there are more people than police and other law enforcement.
If the masses realize this, then there is no stopping them strictly looking at the numbers.
In normal times we all operate and conduct ourselves under the illusion that everyone else is going to follow along with the social contract that allows us to live.
Once that social contract is broken by enough people than it’s all over.
We are getting a glimpse that the masses may be awakening and it’s going to be interesting.

There just needs to be consequences to your actions. Hats the problem right now, no one is holding these people accountable. If the government won't do it the people are going to have too. Otherwise it will become anarchy.

I largely blame Minneapolis and Seattle.
Permitting peaceful protests is admirable, but when they turned into riots, that should have been met immediately with displays of overwhelming force. I am not saying kill folks, but shut them down with plenty of visible arrests. Let the rioters determine the amount of force required, but shut them down quickly and visibly.
You quash the early ones quickly, and most of the others don't happen.

Read some more history. The BLM protest and riots are nothing. Protests in the late 60s? Civil rights protest in the 50s/60s? Outright rebellions in the 1800s?
