You need a smart tv brah, HBO Max doesn’t want to associate itself with poors

Eh? Dedicated media boxes are WAY better than TV apps. They are updated more often, have faster processors, more RAM and are generally more consistent with high quality streams. Even the best of Samsung and Sony can't compete with a dedicated media device.

Disagree.

I would never even consider to buy an external device like a Roku if I invest in a smart TV.

The convenience and less device clutter that smart TVs provide outweighs what you say above regarding media boxes, imo. Plus, you don't have to deal with an extra company's policies creating consumer issues like the one that spawned this thread.

My experience with Samsung smart TVs has been nothing, but top notch. They are extremely fast in processing and loading apps. Wire Ethernet to the TV and you'll have the highest quality stream.

I'll take my smart TV that automatically updated to HBO Max on launch any day over a Roku.

I have 2 Samsung smart TVs (Granted, 5+ years old) and they suck arse so I have a firestick and Apple TV.

My Sony is from last year and has android tv. It’s by far my favorite interface and works flawlessly. Even has chromecast built in so I can cast anything I want seamlessly.
