Heading to ATL this evening thru Monday. Best options for beer? Doesn't have to be a brewery. We are staying close to the new Braves stadium and I know there's a Terrapin brewlab there--just don't love their beers.
Schoolhouse looked interesting. Red Hare worth checking out? Variant brewing?
prefer sours and IPAs
TIA

Scofflaw, Atlanta brewing, second self, Monday night, and steady hand are all right over the hooch in the city limits.

Monday Night Brewery's Garage is a cool venue, and a majority of their beers are quality. Double Archipelago is my favorite IPA from them.
Closer to that area, I've been to Variant and Gate City. Good beers but nothing to write home about. Pontoon has some really creative beers. I really like their Somethin' Strange IPA. I wouldn't bother with Red Hare, unless you want a good rootbeer

Variant is one of my favorites. Like their NEIPAs. Their building is nice but I think they only allow outdoor seating right now. I would check out New Realm

If your looking for a place to stock up on local beer, check out Sprayberry Bottle Shop over in the East Cobb/ Sandy Plains area of Marrietta. Brij gets a large allocation of local limited release offerings.

Theo Zeros are awesome. The current version is solid. The Splodeys are popular but a bit too tart for me.

Orpheus has some solid limited production sours if you’re nearby this weekend

Probably heading to Cherry St this afternoon. Cumming is not too far from where we are right now

Cherry St has a number of good ones - Steppin Razor, Col. Juice, Groovy Child to name a few. El Cashmorado is one of their best.

Pontoon has some really nice sours, some of the ones you can get at the brewery are almost like slushes. I really like the sour beers that Three Taverns puts out.

6 Bridges is over near Cherry St. They are fairly new but make some very nuce beers.

Cherry St was solid but kinda limited in current selection. The nappy roots collab GA peach ipa was my favorite
Might make a run toward steady hands etc this afternoon

Never been to Steady Hands which is kind of ironic considering I met the Sullivan brothers through a friend. Cool guys, good beer.

Tattletales has some good popcorn. That’s all I’ve got

dude has done a fantastic job. Used to be the only place I could find tropicalia. Now of course it’s everywhere but 5 years ago he was about the only place you could find it

Steady hands was good. Went to scofflaw then Orpheus before ending the day at mellow mushroom in vining. All in all a nice trip. My favorite brewery was variant.
