Sometimes insomnia can be due to unseen stress and anxiety. Meditation is effective at reducing both. There are tons of apps for easy guided meditations.

This. I thought that shite was all bullshite. But I got to a point I would try anything. I put a guided mediation video on YouTube and played it when I got in bed. It had me sleeping fast. They have 10 hour videos Incase you wake up. But I’ve never woken up during one.

ETA: I think I’m crazy because now I use background ambiance of a battle going on. Artillery and gunfire. One is a Vietnam version and it has shouting of both American soldiers and Vietnam-Cong.
If you use one of those, make sure you use earphones if you are around some vets. Don’t want Uncle Joe having flashbacks.
