The cool thing for me is, I know most of the spots in these videos. He's your stereotypical Utah BAW.
FWIW, Hurricane (Hur-a-kin as the locals pronounce it) is right next door to La Verkin, Ut. La Verkin is "famous" as the town that declared itself as a "U.N. Free Zone" back in the early 2000's.

My first job out of grad school was doing wetlands survey's "down east" in the Carolina's. We had a stock as a rock XJ. With the low overall weight and the straight 6, the power to weight ratio of that vehicle was incredible. We took it places that you'd look at the "road" and say "there's no way you can get a vehicle down that." Awesome vehicle.
Too bad about the "Death wobble" in them tho.

Just found this guy last night, what a great way to kill an evening when your girlfriend is watching Batchelor highlights.

Was that a 4.0 Cherokee he pulled him out with? Geez

Gearing is your friend. I bought a 98 with the 4.0 for $300 on the side of the road with a blown radiator. Damn thing was a tank in low gear with all four wheels locked.

When I owned one in the late 90's (personal vehicle not the work one), it would jump 5.0 mustangs off the line to about 25-30 mph. The it would get it's 4 doors blown off.
The craziest thing that ever happened to me in one when I was young and dumb. I was driving down the mountain in a thunderstorm one day. I go around a right hand curve a little too hot and the back end steps out on me. I start drifting to the other lane. All the sudden, about 100 yards down the road there's a curve back the other way. A big caddy comes around the corner. I hadn't had the car that long and I remember the salesman saying to me on our test drive "You can engage 4wd at any legal speed". So I reached down, pulled it into 4 high, and stepped on it. The front wheels caught and pulled me around. I missed the scared tourists from Florida by feet.

Why in gods name would you take a 5th wheel down that to begin with

I was shocked too. I thought no way. Guess he's got it geared right.

quote:I didnt almost order one, I did the full send! I bought the 30 foot 1 inch Yankum. I looked at the Bubba Rope but went with the Yankum because of the price difference. I have only used it once but it worked like a champ. Ole baw had his 3500 sitting on the frame. They had already broke a snatch cable. I hooked up and popped him right out.
Then almost ordered a rope.
