I have been using gundeals to get my info and pricing. It appears that the Taurus G2 or G3 are more available than others. Is there a reason for this?

Taurus guns are good, but they took a bad beating in their reputation a decade or so ago with some really, REALLY shitty semi auto guns... Mainly the PT111 Millennium guns, of which these Taurus G Series guns are HEAVILY based off of. They've supposedly made major strides in the quality, fit and finish since "re-branding" to the G series.

I had a G2 a couple years back. It's a good gun but the biggest knock on all the Taurus G guns are their triggers. They have a SUPER LONG take up, a heavy break and an almost indistinguishable reset. Have big hands and had trouble squeezing my index finger enough to get it to break/fire and it caused me to have poor shot placement. Had to get rid of it.

When it comes to revolvers, Taurus has a solid reputation but their semi autos are still suffering from their bad history and are still "not quite there" when it comes to being a good enough gun to be relied upon as an every day carry. That's why you see so many of them and why they're priced at the level they're at.
