Some are proven true, but it's more that they're moving from what you might consider "illegimate knowledges" (witchcraft, astrology, etc.) to "legitimate knowledges". It's more nuanced than that as you still have publics for which they're delegitimized so politicians will need to dogwhistle instead of explicitly addressing in order to build broad coalitions, but the OP has a point that the RW has become relatively open to them and has a relatively smaller counter-public for which they're delegitimized such that they're made pretty explicit sometimes.

It's just become that "conspiracy theories" are just "unpopular thought".
As you mention, previously a conspiracy theory was UFOs, etc.
Now it's just that a certain politician may be corrupt is considered a conspiracy theory.
