we'll see some kind of garbage like "new research indicates that covid is no worse that seasonal flu and an audit of case records reveal over-counting of actual cases in the interest of public safety".

And when many of us scream "we've been telling you that all along"... it will never make the light of day.

You don't need to wait for 'new research'. Just ignore the media, and go directly to the source, and learn how to read data.
