If you are referring to the little clear bubbles that reoccur if you bite em, like we get on our lips, they typically resolve on their own.

I would have to imagine this would cause some issues for a hunting dog as saliva helps dogs to pick up scent particles more easily. Think about dogs like coonhounds and bloodhounds that have a tendency to drool more. This helps them to pick up scent when they're tracking.
