Lawd. It cast iron! Use whatever you want on it. I use stainless steel scouring pad with lots of soap, then a sponge with soap to make sure it’s clean. Then dry it with paper towels. When it needs a little oil on it I use a paper towel for storage. It’s not fine China. SMH

i'm w/ this guy. honestly i've stopped the ritual of seasoning twice a year because i've found even after the wife has left it in the sink and created rust spots, i just scrub it down and after a couple of weeks of heavy use (particularly bacon) it seems to reseason itself just fine.
and i can and do scrambled eggs in it all the time and have zero problem with sticking even w/ the heat cranked way up when i start (usually turn the burner off about 15 seconds after i pour the egg in) and it turns out flully and perfect and slides right out of the pan.
