I'm not a doctor but, as an engineer, I understand the concept of shooting someone with a squirt gun through a cloth mask has a different impact on the target than if you didn't try to shoot through the mask.

This is not that hard to understand.

Ok. Shoot the squirt gun through a paper towel with big holes cut in it and Then keep shooting the thing over and over and over again all day and then keep touching the thing and then keep touching the other person and everything he touches.... everything is wet.

Your analogy would be better if you used a water gun shot through a hallway as compared to an open room.

What if that squirt gun that contains virus is shot through that mask and contaminates the mask. Mask wearer, not being trained in proper infection control procedures, keeps adjusting the mask multiple times contaminating their hands which contaminate everything they touch.

It seems that this sick person could infect many more people while wearing a mask improperly. Maybe the sick should just stay home
