Memphis is a cool city. I can't wait to get back up there.

RC is pretty tough, but everyone there gets down to business when it comes to academics. I'm taking summer school at LSU and it is a shock how different the two are.

Midtown is the best. I grew up right off of Belvedere, which runs off union splitting midtown

One rule I learned quickly in Memphis:

If you do not recognize where you are, turn around and go back to what's familiar. You can get in some bad %$&^% in a hurry if you aren't careful.

Yeah I right where that is. Can't you use Belvedere to hit Jackson and jump on the interstate?

Mid town is a good area. Pretty calm most the time, but we had some mid-day robberies that kind of kept RC on alert for part of the year. A few guys were robbing joggers with a shotgun in mid day and the cops didn't catch them for like a month.

Yeah I guess I knew kind of what to expect. I thought my class would be a little larger (26) but being its summer, I guess that makes sense.

The biggest difference is that everyone just sits there and the prof talks for an hour 1/2, everyone gets up and leaves. RC has participation as 20% of most of my classes. It's hard to make over a B if you don't talk in class.

Econ 2010.

at RC you are more inclined to go to class as a result of the small atmosphere provided

lsu cant keep up with 30,000+, so they dont try..

that gives a lot of people the oppurtunity to load up the hours and not get out of bed until afternoon sometime...never making a class.

that is my place

not anymore though. we sold it when i moved, oddly enough to the people who own bonefish (free meals for life..)

my mom was principal at I.C. Its a private school in midtown on central ave. my pops was a professor at Memphis State (or University of Memphis or whatever..). That was my business in m-town.

We moved to MS when I was in high school. Then i came to LSU. All my family still lives in Memphis though, and its where i grew up and spend a lot of time every year.

Other than the crime, Memphis is a cool city. I love downtown and the FedEx Forum always has games or concerts to go to. Gotta love $5 Memphis Grizzlies tickets!

I am seeing a small glimmer of hope for the Griz now. With Gay, Mayo, Arthur, Lowery, and Conley, they are starting to get some talent together.

I think they added K. Brown recently, but they still need a TON of help inside.

There are a lot of Memphis guys on this board.

Rebel, Bnap, etc..

The Forum is so nice. Its just like magic, in one city block there is this HUGE arena. haha

Good area of Memphis. One of the few areas within the actual city that is a nice place to live. Germantown and Collierville are nice, but they are kind of out there from the actual city.

Shoot me a PM on TSD when you are in Memphis. We can meet up and shoot the bull about LSU...everyone at RC gets tired of hearing about LSU during football season, but I have converted a few friends to the Tigers so I am proud of that.

I think he should be a 4 star, after comparing his video to other players ranked ahead of him.

I am kind of depressed/pissed off they are not using the Pyramid for anything. It is right outside/border of downtown, yet it rarely ever has anything going on there. I guess the Forum takes any possible business from the Pyramid...

I just know they need to do SOMETHING with it.

Really? Didn't know that? They go to school in Memphis or they live therE?

Every time I see the Forum I think the exact same thing. Literally on/next to Beale St in the middle of downtown the Forum just 'appears.' Construction of that must have been hell, but I wasn't around Memphis then, so didn't bother me!

In uptown New Orleans they usually rape the women before they take off.
