Please don't turn Tiger Rant into the Poli Board or the Saints Talk board... Both are unbearable no matter what side of the spectrum you are on.

I am not the one putting out "Black Lives Matter" on the Tiger Stadium jumbo tron and I am not among the idiots proclaiming "Black lives matter" in that disgraceful basketball video. This forum is for LSU sports and topics about LSU sports. Any perceived THREAT to the future of LSU sports belongs on THIS forum. The school itself is asking its fan base to choose a side between no partisan political activity and totally partisan political activity during an election year. They are the ones drawing a line in the sand, not me. Complain to THEM.

If they are insisting on shoving this shite down the throats of those who disagree and it's OK to be political as a state-funded university, when are the pro-Trump fans going to be allowed to put "Make America Great Again" up on that jumbo tron? When is the school going to release a "Make America Great Again" video during this election year?

We all know the answer is that they won't do this. That is why they should be banned from promoting "Black Lives Matter" and all of the destructive messages it sends to fans and voters. This is one-sided and pissing many of us off, perhaps purposely. Pissing fans off in large numbers is a threat to the future of your sports program and deserves being discussed on this forum because of that. Once again, the LSU athletic department is the one allowing this crap. I sincerely hope that the TAF is looking at this and plans some way to make it stop. The slogan "Love Purple, Live Gold" does not contain the word "Black". Stop allowing those who wish to force it in there somehow from getting away with their treachery. If they are so proud of this new slogan of theirs they should be proud enough to let everyone know whose idea is was to use it. Those of us who have been insulted by this deserve to know the name of the person responsible.

This. Regardless which side of it you fall on, it’s dumb to get pressured into a position that will alienate a portion of the alumni and fan base. The purpose of this movement is to divide and stir tension. Somebody at LSU took the bait.
