Selling data has been big business for some time. Insurers are huge customers. Credit Card companies are major sellers.
You bought a size 34 pair of jeans last year, but a 36 last week. That number just went into the risk pool calculation for your employer provided health insurance policy.
That I understand. I'm far less clear on the inherent value/risk of silly videos being shared by teeny boppers.
