Not that he should be spared criticism, but there were quite a few people close to the situation who were 1000% sure we had Jimbo in the bag right until the moment we didn’t. Sexton wanting an outrageous contract, Jindal butting in, Les being carried off the goddamn field on the tops of players shoulders, emotional press conference et al happened within a few hours time. shite was touch and go. And now Jimbo gets paid handsomely by the autistic couple next door. TYFYS Piyush.
And to OP- I’m starting to doubt it more and more every day. I’m gonna plan trips and get out in nature every weekend of the fall I can if we don’t have football so I don’t lose my damn mind. I watch a few replays during the week and seeing DV at full capacity rocking its arse off doing the chomp for the Florida game tonight makes me wonder how different, if any, crowds will act as far as not high fiving and hugging someone you’ve never met before when we score a big td or make a big play like a blocked field goal to win etc. I saw on the news they’re pushing hydroxychloroquine hard and more doctors are praising it, maybe there’ll be enough produced by September to deal with any spikes resulting from people going to games. Imagining what tailgating would look like this year is a strange mental image.
