I hate to tell ya but I drink and eat what I want on the weekends and just use a little discipline Monday thru Thursday. So by your estimate I’ll have 12 additional years of good food and drink

Let's do the math:

Me: 365 enjoyable days a year, or 3,650 in a decade.

You: 156 (3x52) enjoyable days a year... or 1,560 in a decade.

3,650 - 1,560 = 2,090 enjoyable days that I gain over you, per decade.

Your extra 12 years will yield a grand total of 1,872 enjoyable days.

But I've already lapped you.
So, in the end, I got more enjoyable days than you.

This is how fat people justify their laziness and poor decisions.

You enjoy being out of shape simply to justify you being able to eat what you want?

One, you’re assuming the Mon-Thu provided by that poster are not enjoyable. I hate to break it to you, but a lot of people enjoy exercising and eating healthy. Building something is satisfying. It feels good and provides mental clarity to exercise and eat healthy.

Two, let’s consider the truly unenjoyable days. Your sedentary lifestyle and poor diet put you at an exponentially higher risk of conditions like diabetes and CKD.

How enjoyable do you imagine it will be when you can’t chase your 4 year old grandkids around because you have diabetic neuropathy in your feet? All of the medicines you’ll have to take to keep your fat arse from dying have shitty side effects and are not cheap. Since you’re already non-compliant there’s a solid chance your last few years of “life” will be spent getting dialysed 3x week. Having the fistula or graft operation in order to receive dialysis isn’t enjoyable, nor is the treatment.

Being unhealthy is expensive, too. Modern medicine will keep you alive for a long damn time, but you won’t have much money left to leave your family.

So, yeah. I’ll use a modicum of self control and keep my body in shape. It might sound like hard work to you, but I find enjoyment in discipline and my chances of a miserable, protracted death will be significantly lower.
