That's true.

With respect to a vaccine, the question becomes would you take very rushed vaccine (relatively speaking) which may not be totally effective to prevent the risk of contracting a virus with a very low death rate?

No vaccine ever will be "totally" effective

I absolutely would. I don't fit any of the at risk catagories but have family, coworkers, and friends who do and I would absolutely take the vaccine to lower the risk of me, potentially asymptomatic, spreading covid to them.

Which is the whole point of herd immunity. It's not necessarily if you're at risk
