We’ve had ours for about 10 years and I’ve never removed the fire ring. It gets used on average 3 times per week. Just curious why you needed to remove it?

The dome of my egg broke into pieces while trying to replace the gasket...long story. Short answer is the dealer told me it would be covered by warranty if I wasn’t at fault for it breaking. Check with dealer and explain situation. Best case scenario it gets replaced at no charge.
